From the poster

As our world faces rapid population ageing and digitalization, it presents unique challenges and opportunities for technological innovation in eldercare. Finland and Singapore, while differing in geography and culture, share challenges related to ageing populations and the integration of technology to support these demographics is much needed. As traditional family structures evolve and caregiving resources become strained, humanistic artificial intelligence AI-enabled technologies (AI AgeTech) offer promising solutions to support older adults' independence, functioning, and dignity while assisting care partners and the wider ecosystem. However, the development of AI AgeTech raises important ethical considerations, particularly in the context of cultural values and care practices. This study proposes a framework for co-creating humanistic AI AgeTech using generative AI tools, drawing insights from research published by Hwang and colleagues in 2024.
